Symposium Code of Conduct

NICS is dedicated to providing a harassment-free Symposium experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs. Speakers are asked to frame discussions as openly and inclusively as possible.

 

NICS does not tolerate harassment of speakers, conference participants, or staff in any form during the Symposium  sessions, in the exhibit area, or at any other officially sanctioned Symposium events.

All communications and interactions should be appropriate for a professional audience. Comments or images that are defamatory, slanderous, libelous, discriminatory, obscene or constitute sexual harassment are prohibited.

 

Symposium participants violating these guidelines are expected to comply immediately and may be sanctioned or expelled from the Symposium without a refund or liability at the discretion of the Symposium organizers.
